The month of September 2023 is special. Despite the bearish cycle of recent months, several cryptos recorded substantial performance growth in September. A trend which has allowed many of them to consolidate their positions on the market while confirming the relevance that users recognize in them.
First, ADA, Cardano’s native crypto
Charles Hoskinson should be rubbing his hands. ADA, the native crypto of Cardano, one of the many platforms he founded, achieved remarkable performance at the end of September.
This is particularly what is shown by recent data compiled by crypto data provider Santiment. According to the latter, the ADA stood out in terms of developer activity during the month of September.
The asset has far outperformed all other major crypto projects over this period. This, by recording the impressive number of 572 development events in its repositories on the GitHub platform.
This reflects a substantial level of developer engagement. A more than interesting dynamic for Cardano. The firm solidifying its position as a leader in development efforts in the blockchain ecosystem and crypto industry.
Then Polkadot (DOT), and the others
Besides Cardano, other blockchain projects performed remarkably well in September. This is typically the case for Polkadot (DOT) which comes just behind Cardano with 501 GitHub events during this period.
Chainlink with its native crypto LINK secured third place behind Polkadot (DOT) by totaling 388 events in its repositories. Blockchain is followed by Hedera (HBAR) with its 358 events and Cosmos (ATOM) with 338 events.
We cannot forget the blockchain projects, which while being less prolific than the previous ones still achieve an interesting performance. This is the case with Aptos (APT) which recorded 248 events on GitHub.
This is also the case for Avalanche (AVAX) and IoTA (MIOTA). The events of these two platforms have reached a total of 242 and 219 respectively. At the same time, Radix (XRD) has accumulated 167 events while MultiverseX (EGL) has a total of 162.
Note that overall, this trend has resulted in an increase in the valuation of cryptos native to these blockchains. The largest increases being attributed to Chainlink (LINK), Cosmos (ATOM), Hedera (HBAR) and Cardano (ADA). These cryptos have, in order, experienced a valuation of 33.3%, 10.9%, 5.07% and 4.87%.
