Crypto: Polkadot (DOT) breaks all development activity records

Despite the downtrend, developers remain alert and continue their operations. The projects follow one another and the news is rather reassuring for Polkadot (DOT). According to the data, the network has reached a record level in its development activity and it does not intend to stop there.

Polkadot (DOT), one more step towards the heights!

The fall in prices negatively affects the entire crypto sector. However, Polkadot does not intend to give up. While the ecosystem tries somehow to recover, the protocol multiplies the successes. According to data from the GitHub programming repository, the multichain protocol hit an all-time high last month.

Indeed, Polkadot (DOT) recognized 500 contributions each day in September. Data from Polkadot’s XCM cross-consensus interoperability standard indicates that 26,258 messages were sent between its parachains. Thus, the GitHub DOT recorded 14,930 developer contributions in August, thus reaching a record.

Since its inception, the protocol has recorded more than 140,000 messages exchanged between chains through 135 messaging channels. According to the statements of the project developers, more than 66 blockchains are already live on Polkadot and Kusama. Nevertheless, it would seem that this is not enough for Rob Habermeier, the founder of Polkadot.

Indeed, the latter recently published a roadmap showcasing the improved scalability of Polkadot and Kusama. This upgrade, if it were to take place, would have many advantages. Among other things, halving the block time while increasing the given block space by ten times. But it would also include increasing the speed of the network between 100,000 and one million transactions per minute.

Polkadot hits an all-time high in development activity. However, the protocol intends to go much further. Indeed, it plans to upgrade asynchronous support for development on Kusama by the end of the year, then on DOT. However, the network is planning another upgrade that should shorten the development process for building on Polkadot.
