Coinbase hits major milestone
Thanks to his collaboration with Kalshia platform validated by the CFTC, the crypto company Coinbase launches its predictive markets in all 50 US states. These contracts allow you to bet on real events: politics, sport, economy, culture, etc.
This service integrates directly into the user interface of the Coinbase crypto exchange. It accepts deposits in USD or USDC. The entry ticket? Only $1. Enough to open these regulated bets to a wide audience.
Kalshi remains the sole supplier of these contracts for the moment. The company does not, however, rule out opening up to other players. The objective? Build a complete and dynamic crypto offeras part of the strategy “Everything Exchange” unveiled in December.
Crypto predictive markets: the new frontier of Web3
Coinbase launch comes as predictive markets explode in the United States. Polymarket and Kalshi, for example, generated billions of dollars in trading volume at the end of 2025. Valuations, too, are skyrocketing: $11 billion for Kalshi and $9 billion for Polymarket.
By offering these predictive bets, the crypto platform Coinbase is therefore positioned as a pioneer in a market still under construction. The company is already attracting investors as well as institutions looking for hedging tools or indicators.
