Dogecoin jumped nearly 6% after SpaceX's spectacular debut on the Nasdaq. In a crypto market still sensitive to stories, the return of Elon Musk to the center of attention was enough to awaken demand around DOGE.

In brief
- Dogecoin gained almost 6% after SpaceX's historic IPO.
- The increase is mainly based on the Elon Musk effect and speculation.
- No new DOGE integration by SpaceX has been announced.
Dogecoin benefits from the SpaceX shock
Dogecoin is among the cryptos that reacted best to the SpaceX IPO. The memecoin rose nearly 6% as investors celebrated the space company's arrival on Nasdaq under the symbol SPCX.
SpaceX priced its IPO at $135 per share. The operation allowed it to raise around 75 billion dollars. The stock then opened at $150, quickly propelling the company's market valuation above $2 trillion.
This enthusiasm has spilled over into crypto. However, no official announcement directly links Dogecoin to the IPO. The market has simply reactivated a well-known association: as soon as Elon Musk dominates the news, DOGE often comes back on the radar.
The Elon Musk effect still works
Dogecoin maintains a special relationship with Elon Musk. The leader of SpaceX and Tesla has supported this crypto several times, sometimes with a simple publication, a joke or an indirect reference. These interventions often triggered rapid movements.
This time, Musk did not announce a new use for the DOGE crypto. SpaceX has not presented a Dogecoin payment system or integration of the token into its activities. The increase is therefore mainly based on sentiment and the massive attention surrounding the entrepreneur.
The DOGE-1 mission has also resurfaced in discussions. This space project, financed in Dogecoin, remains a powerful symbol for the community. Even without new confirmation, its mention strengthens the cultural link between SpaceX and memecoin.
The movement shows how stories can influence the crypto market. Dogecoin does not always progress through technical evolution or measurable adoption. It often moves forward because a story suddenly attracts buyers.
The SpaceX IPO brings together all the necessary ingredients. It combines Elon Musk, a giant valuation, the conquest of space and a historic session on Wall Street. For traders, the DOGE crypto represents an indirect way of exposure to the craze surrounding the Musk ecosystem.
But this mechanism remains fragile. Intense attention can create strong buying pressure for a few hours. It can also disappear as soon as another subject occupies social networks. The DOGE crypto engine is powerful, but it sometimes runs without fundamental fuel.
Volatility could return quickly
Analysts therefore remain cautious despite the rebound. A 6% increase can attract new buyers, especially on a very liquid memecoin. However, it is not enough to confirm a lasting change in trend.
The crypto market is now monitoring Dogecoin's ability to maintain levels gained during the SpaceX craze. Continued buying could open the way to further resistance. Conversely, rapid profit taking could erase part of the movement.
The gap with the historic record of May 2021 also remains considerable. DOGE then exceeded $0.70 in a context of extreme euphoria. The current situation seems more measured. The token benefits from a major event, but not yet from a new wave of adoption.
The increase nevertheless confirms that the narrative power of Dogecoin has not disappeared. SpaceX has direct exposure to crypto through its large bitcoin reserves, but no DOGE appears in its IPO filing. The market therefore mainly buys a story. It remains to be seen how long it will last.
