What is CoinFerenceX, and why is it right before TOKEN2049?

CoinFerenceX is a Web3 conference series born in Dubai in April 2025, which is holding its second edition in the city in Singapore. It takes place on October 5 and 6, just before TOKEN2049, the big crypto show of the week, which we presented in our TOKEN2049 Singapore tickets and program guide. The 2026 edition is co-organized with The Best Event, described as “ the events arm of TBV, a venture capital fund that finances web2.5 and web3 startups in Southeast Asia and North America “, according to the organizers’ press release of July 29, 2026.

Read like an operation, the calendar says it all. On his websitethe organizer introduces himself as “ the ultimate alternative to Token2049 » and invites brands to anchor themselves in Asian crypto week. This is the logic of the restaurant installed next to the stadium: it takes advantage of the crowds coming for the match. For the visitor, the entry cost is zero with the free pass; the organizer is paid from sponsors, exhibitors and VIP passes.

We’re incredibly excited about this edition: it’s bigger, more focused and more ambitious than anything we’ve done before. With the entire industry in Singapore that week, we put together a stage and an audience that turned that energy into real conversations and real agreements.

What’s on the program?

The box office announces “more than 100 management-level speakers” and five formats, from the most open to the most closed. As of September 30, 116 speakers were registered there. Themes displayed cover Web3, blockchain, decentralized finance (DeFi), artificial intelligence, and crypto ecosystems in the Asia-Pacific region. If these notions remain vague, start with our file to understand Web3.

The site highlights personalities like Arthur Hayes (Maelstrom), Raoul Pal (Real Vision), Yat Siu (Animoca Brands), Sandeep Nailwal (Polygon Labs) or Luuk Strijers (Coinbase). The hour-by-hour program is not published on September 30: check the presence of a specific speaker before building your day around them.

Which pass to choose, and how much does it cost?

The free pass works like free entry to a trade fair: you do not pay in money, but you leave your contact details, transmitted to the organizers during registration. The VIP pass is aimed at those who come looking for business meetings.

The attendance figures should be read with hindsight: the organizer is aiming for 4,000 selected participants and 8,000 registrations, but its site also displays 7,500 participants, a total which combines its 2025 editions in Dubai and Singapore. For a visitor already on site for TOKEN2049, the interest is simple: two additional days of meetings, without entry fees, a few minutes from Marina Bay Sands.

Doors open on Monday, October 5 at 9:30 a.m. Singapore time, or 3:30 a.m. in Paris. We will have to look at two things: the actual attendance compared to the objective of 4,000 participants, and the projects selected for the Founders’ Den, which will tell where investors from Southeast Asia are placing their bets this year. The next edition has already been announced in Dubai on April 19 and 20, 2027, according to the CoinFerenceX website. For the rest of your week, find our program for the TOKEN2049 week in Singapore.
