The founder of the crypto firm Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, is opposed to any collaboration involving this blockchain and Ripple’s XRP. During a recent media outing, the boss returned to the reasons underlying this position which he does not seem to want to change.
Reasons related to the lack of crypto alignment between Cardano and Ripple
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, remains steadfast in his rejection of any partnership with crypto firm Ripple’s XRP. According to him, the reasons for this fierce opposition lie in a lack of technological alignment between the two platforms.
But the official also cites continued harassment of the XRP community. The situation worsens the relationship between the founder of Cardano and the XRP community, marked by mutual disdain and fairly frequent attacks.
You should know that the story of discord between Hoskinson and the XRP community has resurfaced recently. Notably when an XRP user reminded him of a critical comment he made a year ago, calling the XRP community “toxic and petty”.
David Schwartz, Ripple’s technical director, then intervened to ask Hoskinson to reconsider his position. But the Cardano founder’s response remained unchanged, with clear disapproval of potential partnerships.

If the boss of Cardano does not wish to be associated with Ripple and its XRP, it is because of the purposes pursued by this blockchain. According to him, XRP serves a distinct purpose as an interbank settlement system and CBDC stack.
From his point of view, this is contrary to the visions of crypto platforms like Ethereum, Polkadot or even Algorand. Each contributing in its own particular way to solving similar problems.
Highlighting these fundamental differences with Cardano’s ADA, Charles Hoskinson claimed that collaboration with the XRP community was unlikely. This, taking into account the “persistent personal attacks, harassment and complete inability to have a conversation.”
It must be said that the boss of Cardano is particularly contributing to making the situation worse. Since, as he himself admitted, he attacks the XRP community with memes like ETHGate. This, by qualifying members of the XRP community as “conspiracy theorists”. This raises questions about the potential for a future collaboration between Cardano and Ripple’s XRP.
