Since its launch, artificial intelligence (AI) has been particularly in demand in the field of cryptos. Several studies have indicated the positive impact that the latter would have in this sector.
Towards a bitcoin mining revolution thanks to AI?
Changpeng Zhao, Binance boss reported a few months ago the strengthening of the adoption of cryptos with AI. Apparently, the latter does not only stimulate the expansion of these assets. Their mining, especially that concerning bitcoin, could be impacted.
This is demonstrated recent news involving the firm Quantum Blockchain Technologies (QBT). Indeed, the company has unveiled a technological advance in the field of bitcoin mining.
According to Francesco Gardin, the boss of QBT, the innovation driven by his company should significantly improve the efficiency of ASICs. The chances of operational success of these bitcoin mining machines would thus be particularly increased.
In any case, this is the promise that QBT makes to future users of its technological prowess. The latter’s innovative approach is to use AI to revolutionize the process of finding hashes.
The approach is based in particular on algorithms developed by QBT. Powered by AI, these tools are designed to radically transform the traditional process of discovering winning hashes. In particular, in a bitcoin mining situation.
As a reminder, in conventional mining methods, the search for winning hashes is often based on random processes. Miners thus use the computing power of their machines to solve complex problems. Their hope being to find the correct solution.
But the innovation introduced by QBT is based on an intelligent and targeted research approach. The latter identifies specific patterns and trends in the data. An approach allowing miners to focus on areas where the discovery of winning hash is higher.
An innovation that promises to improve bitcoin mining by 260%!
Developing this technological innovation related to bitcoin mining cost QBT two years of work. These activities involved around twenty experts. A panel of specialists in cryptography, quantum computing, machine learning, ASIC chip design and algorithmic optimization.
The combined work of these experts has made it possible to push back the technological limits of bitcoin mining. Indeed, QBT’s machine learning team has developed two distinct algorithmic research methodologies.
The first, called “method A”, would improve the operational efficiency of miners by 10%. This increases to 260% with the second, called “method B”. A more than remarkable step forward.
But QBT wants to go even further. His immediate plan is to increase the efficiency of mining operations. To do this, it intends to increase the performance of ASIC chips. This, by seamlessly integrating an AI software component into crypto mining machines.
