Bitcoin: Craig Wright Accused of Fraud… Again!

For the umpteenth time, Craig Wright is the subject of a scandalous accusation on social networks. This Australian computer scientist and entrepreneur claims to be the creator of Bitcoin. It would be, according to him, the identity behind the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto. An assertion very quickly refuted by many people and various analysts, including Edward Snowden.

Craig Wright’s response to the tweet posted by Edward Snowden

When a simple tweet turns into a real controversy

More than just a computer scientist, Edward Snowden is now better known as a whistleblower. Some see this intelligence expert as a hero, while others call him a “traitor”. This is particularly the case of Craig Wright. In response to this accusation, Edward Snowden claimed that Craig Wright openly and publicly lied about his identity.

To contextualize, the feud begins when Edward Snowden posts on his feed Twitter a copy of the Bitcoin white paper. The purpose of this process was to commemorate the 14e anniversary of said document. The whistleblower is attracting maximum commentary and attention by adding, “It is 14 years ago today, yet Satoshi remains anonymous. Outstanding ! on his long tweet thread. A comment to which Craig Wright obviously hastened to respond by declaring that he was never anonymous. The latter even took care to remind Edward Snowden that he was a traitor.

Edward Snowden raises an interesting point about the alleged creator of Bitcoin

To support his accusations, Edward Snowden states several facts. For example, he wanted to remind his followers of the legal scandal involving Craig Wright and a popular bitcoiner known as Hodlonaut. Earlier in October, the Norwegian court ruled on the case, forcing the alleged creator of Bitcoin to pay compensation to Hodlonaut. The latter amount to $348,257.

As a reminder, in this procedure, Craig Wright brought a lawsuit against Hodlonaut for defamation on social networks. On several occasions, the Bitcoiner accused Wright of being a fraud and mentally ill.

Another point raised by Edward Snowden: the inconsistencies in the various statements of Craig Wright. Indeed, the latter affirmed that he was never anonymous. And yet, one of his grades previous shows the opposite.

Despite the accusations and the bickering, Edward Snowden remains a strong supporter of Bitcoin. The proof, the layer 2 Lightning network of Bitcoin allowed him to carry out instant transactions. Your opinion on the subject?
