A new manufacturer of bitcoin miners, Auradine, has just released a 4nm ASIC that is more efficient than its competitor Bitmain.

While Bitmain and MicroBT have just unveiled their latest models, an unknown company has just surpassed them.
As a reminder, Bitmain unveiled the S21 antminer in September. The latter can generate 200 TH/s with an efficiency of 17.5 J/TH in its air cooling version. Its hydro cooling version generates 335 TH/s at 16 J/TH.
These efficiencies are remarkable, but Auradine does better. Its ASIC Teraflux can generate 375 TH/s in immersion cooling, at 15 J/TH. Its air cooling model can generate 260 TH/s at 16 J/TH.
These bitcoin miners are the fastest and most efficient in the world. Their specificity is to offer cutting-edge functions to finely manage the hashrate (and therefore electricity consumption). The aim is to facilitate the establishment of demand response contracts with energy companies.
“Currently, almost all ASICs come from ASIC suppliers based in China. Amid geopolitical risks threatening supply chains and cyber threats, demand for ASICs made in the United States is on the rise. Auradine, an American company, is spearheading solutions to secure the Bitcoin network »can we read in the communicated.
“Having delivered our first generation of bitcoin miners, we are raising the bar even higher to help our customers achieve the best economic results, even beyond the bitcoin halving of 2024”said Rajiv Khemani, CEO and co-founder of Auradine.
Note that the CEO of Marathon Fred Thiel is a member of the Auradine board of directors. Marathon invested $35 million, more than 40% of the $81 million raised by Auradine. In other words, Marathon now displays complete vertical integration, from the chip to the mining pool.
The miners’ arms race is intensifying. Knowing that Jack Dorsey’s Block company is working on a 3nm chip. And Adam Back’s firm Blockstream is also in the running.
