Binance in turmoil: The exchange faced with a serious data breach!

Almost every day, the Binance crypto exchange finds itself at the heart of a new intrigue. The latest concerns the firm’s data request portal which was reportedly the victim of a breach. The situation is being talked about in particular because it involves the personal data of crypto users probably being compromised.

Personal data of Binance crypto users sold!

With all the problems it already knows, the Binance crypto platform finds itself embroiled in a new story. The latter concerns in particular access to the Binance data request portal.

The case is making the headlines of the crypto community in particular because it calls into question the crucial information on Binance users available on this portal. The fact that the latter is in principle only accessible to law enforcement is more intriguing.

Even more intriguing, BreachForums user Miembro recently revealed the sale of access to Binance’s data request portal. He claims to have obtained unauthorized access to the Binance data request portal for $10,000.

At this time, the extent of data sold is uncertain. As is the question of whether they have found other buyers. What is certain, however, is that the affair is the talk of the town, giving rise to concerns and speculation.

Binance faces serious security breach, exposing sensitive user data

The plot of the portal access method

Currently, the process used to access this portal, deemed secure, one imagines, is a mystery. However, researchers at Hudson Rock, an Israeli cybercrime intelligence company, have a lead.

They say malware in law enforcement centers in Taiwan, Uganda and the Philippines may have facilitated access. Furthermore, it appears that Binance allows access to the police database via Kodex Global.

Contacted for clarification on the incident, the crypto exchange provided no public response to cybersecurity experts Kodex Global. In the meantime, Binance crypto users have concerns.

Indeed, the situation exposes their sensitive information, involving emails, phone numbers, wallet addresses and identifiers, to risks. Including phishing or harassment attacks, among others.
