In the crypto universe, 2023 goals vary significantly. Some are developing strategies to recover from the bear market. Others want to conquer the world at all costs. This is particularly the case of Binance, which aims to appropriate the crypto market in France. With this in mind, it has just signed a partnership with Ingenico.
A crypto payment via Binance Pay in stores in France
Binance had an incredible end to 2022. We refer in particular to the legal action brought against Binance France. Despite this, the crypto company is climbing the slope. It continues to expand to the four corners of the globe.
In France, the CZ team decides to partner with Ingenico to facilitate in-store crypto payments. The official announcement of this collaboration was relayed on the Binance Twitter account and on the Ingenico website.
In his press release, the payment solutions provider explains that this is a pilot program. Concretely, customers will be able to pay in crypto in several stores in France via Binance Pay. The offer supports more than 50 cryptos. However, payments will only be possible on Ingenico Axium terminals.
An all-in-one device to facilitate crypto payments
To make in-store crypto payments in France possible, Ingenico will use an all-in-one device. “This is a new way to approach the market and accelerate access to consumers,” explained the head of Binance Pay and Binance Card, Jonathan Lim.
As part of the program launch, traders will also be paid in crypto. But Binance and Ingenico are already working on a crypto-fiat solution. The first test will take place between April and June 2023.
This is not Binance’s first successful collaboration. In 2022, the crypto company partnered with MasterCard to create a prepaid crypto card. The launch of the project was a real success in Brazil and Argentina. Hopefully, both signers will achieve the same result with Binance Pay.
