Aragon and Polygon join forces: DAOs finally within everyone's reach?

The first milestones of the collaboration between Aragon and Polygon were laid in 2021. The deal promoted the introduction on Polygon of the first initiatives of Aragon, resulting in the design of more than 6,000 Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).

DAOs, now available at a lower cost

After its agreement with Salesforce for the adoption of NFTs, Polygon Labs formalized on Thursday April 6, a partnership with the decentralized blockchain project Aragon. An agreement, through which the two partners intend to work to make Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) accessible on a large scale.

This collaboration is not insignificant. In fact, Aragon and Polygon have a crucial interest in it. This consists of contributing, over the long term, to the sustained adoption of the blockchain. Decentralized organizations based on blockchain technology offer them, from this point of view, the necessary material to achieve this.

It is therefore in this context that this market takes place which, according to the stakeholders, should be highly beneficial for users. The latter could thus benefit from the “light code base” of Aragon and layer 2 of the Polygon blockchain. An alloy that should allow them to quickly operationalize CAD without the slightest technical expertise.

Reducing costs and technical complexity: the ambitions of Aragon and Polygon for CAD

By operating in this way, Aragon and Polygon target two particular and complementary objectives. The first is to break down the barriers to CAD design, namely technical complexity, among others. The second is to limit the financial burdens involved in establishing and administering DAOs.

Once these objectives have been achieved, people around the world will be able to easily access and use DAOs, at a lower cost. According to stakeholder forecasts, this should cost less than $0.5. Suffice to say that it is almost offered.

For Sandeep Nailwal, the co-founder of Polygon Labs, the partnership with Aragon should make on-chain governance “accessible to everyone in the world”. What is positive for “mass adoption of blockchain technology”.

Note that in recent times, Polygon Labs has been very active in the blockchain ecosystem. At the end of March, the company launched its Polygon zkEVM Layer 2 on the Ethereum platform. The zkEVM protocols are at the center of the exchange’s security issues.
