Global debt reignites debates on the value of money and the protection of savings. In this context, Robert Kiyosaki maintains his bet on gold, silver and bitcoin. The author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” says he is waiting for a further fall in prices to strengthen his positions. His reasoning is based on the increase in public debt and his distrust of fiat currencies, which he considers fragile in the face of crises. He also criticizes the political choices of leaders.

In brief
- Robert Kiyosaki is waiting for a further fall in gold, silver and bitcoin to strengthen his positions.
- The author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” denounces the American federal debt, which reaches approximately 40.6 trillion dollars.
- Its goals for 2026 remain ambitious: $250,000 for bitcoin, $27,000 for gold and $100 for silver.
- Despite the recent rebound in all three assets, Kiyosaki views corrections as buying opportunities.
Global debt: why Kiyosaki is turning away from fiat money
For Robert Kiyosaki, the central risk comes from the increase in global debt. It targets in particular the United States, whose federal debt reaches approximately $40.6 trillion. This accumulation reveals, according to him, the limits of the monetary system. He also criticizes political leaders.
The author criticizes the education system for neglecting the basics of financial management. On X, he says the school teaches “absolutely nothing” about money. He describes fiat money as “fake money,” which impoverishes workers and savers. This criticism is consistent with his idea that savers end up losers.
This reading explains his interest in gold, silver and bitcoin. Kiyosaki sees these assets as a hedge against currency depreciation. He therefore does not consider a drop in prices as a signal to sell. Instead, he wants to take advantage of a new setback to buy more.
Kiyosaki expects further fall in gold, silver and bitcoin
This strategy extends his previous statements. Kiyosaki had set targets for 2026 of $250,000 for bitcoin, $27,000 for gold and $100 for silver. These levels reflect its strong expectations for bitcoin. He now says he is waiting for a correction to return to buying.
Recent movements in precious metals, however, show how difficult markets remain to predict. Silver surpassed $121 an ounce in late Januaryabove its objective. This increase did not last. On January 29, gold hit $5,600, then lost $400 in about thirty minutes.
Since these peaks, the three assets have moved significantly lower. Silver is now worth less than half of its January peak. Despite this decline, gold, silver and bitcoin rebounded after the US midterm elections on Tuesday. The recovery followed the Democratic takeover of Congress.
A market rebound that does not dissipate the risks
Gold gained 2.34% and exceeded $4,023 per ounce, after a yearly low. Silver rose almost 4%, to $52. The weakness of the dollar also supported this movement. These variations underline the sensitivity of metals to the political and monetary context.
Bitcoin also rebounded around $80,500. It had touched $75,618 earlier on Wednesday. Despite this recovery, it still lost around 3.8% over the week. Bitcoin therefore remains mixed after the elections.
For Kiyosaki, these lower prices offer an opportunity to strengthen its positions. This approach, however, requires liquidity and the ability to withstand variations. It also requires patience, because finding the low point remains difficult. A new correction could therefore put its strategy to the test. BTC will have to confirm this bet sustainably.
