Strategy seemed ready to pull up its nets, or even sell a few bitcoins to calm its nervous debt. In the crypto port, some already saw Saylor putting away his rods and cutting the bait. However, the beast dove again on Sunday with a short signal like a precise throw. “₿ig Dot Energy” was enough to reignite the screens, suspicions and order books.

In brief
- Michael Saylor is preparing a new bitcoin purchase despite several persistent rumors surrounding possible recent strategic sales.
- Strategy strongly urges individual investors to vote before the decisive deadline now set for June 8.
- STRC reaches colossal volume while Strategy discreetly rebuilds its internal financial mechanics around bitcoin.
- Several crypto investors are now denouncing a risky system strongly fueled by the aggressive enthusiasm of individual investors.
Bitcoin: Saylor takes out the sonar before a new take
Michael Saylor only wrote three words, but the market recognized the familiar sound. His “₿ig Dot Energy” tweet accompanied Strategy’s chart of BTC purchases for six years. This visual, taken from StrategyTracker.com, often appears before an official acquisition. Each orange dot now looks like a deep zone floater.
Strategy already holds 818,869 bitcoins, valued at around $67.2 billion in data cited on Sunday. A new purchase would therefore prolong a mechanism which transforms the company into a financial whaler.
However, the crypto community does not take the same bait. ChartArtist violently attacks STRC :
This is exactly the Ponzi I'm talking about, another Trojan horse to trap poor, hard-working individuals.

Saylor therefore continues to buy bitcoin while Strategy prepares defensive moves on its balance sheet. This double partition makes the file more complicated than a simple BTC purchase.
Crypto retail becomes the central bait of the STRC system
The other maneuver is played out on STRC, the preferred stock that Strategy wants to make liquid. The company says 80% of STRC is owned by individuals. It pushes these holders to vote before June 8 to move from monthly to semi-monthly dividends. According to Strategy, this change would reduce the reinvestment lag, improve liquidity and further stabilize the price.
The campaign looks like a well-oiled video game tutorial. Strategy explains how to vote in less than sixty seconds on Charles Schwab. The product has a capitalization close to 8.5 billion, with a yield of 11.5%. However, the water remains cloudy. GreyWolf summarizes distrust of part of the market:
Individuals are much easier to convince and listen to media hype more than institutions.

This statistic is annoying because small holders vote little. Harvard Law School Forum mentions 29% retail participation over five seasons, compared to 77% on the institutional side.
Strategy stitches up its debt like a market surgeon
When bitcoin occupies the showcase, Strategy repairs its financial trawl below deck. The company has agreed to repurchase approximately $1.5 billion of 2029 convertible notes. The expected settlement is around $1.38 billion, in private transactions with certain holders. The notes carried a 0% coupon and came from an initial issue of 3 billion.
Financing remains sensitive. Strategy mentions available cash, stock sales via ATM program, and potentially bitcoin sales. This possibility cracks the myth of absolute hodl, without completely canceling it. At the same time, STRC recorded 1.53 billion in record daily volume.
Bitcoin Magazine estimates that such a level could theoretically fund over 9,000 BTC at current prices. Saylor is therefore also building a credit engine backed by the crypto tide.
The figures that make the line shudder
- Strategy holds approximately 818,869 bitcoins currently in cash;
- STRC remains 80% owned by individual voters;
- BTC price during this writing: $76,953;
- 2029 notes repurchased for approximately $1.38 billion;
- The STRC vote will remain open until June 8.
However, the appetite of large crypto investors no longer always advances at full tide. Bitmine recently hit the brakes after 26,659 ETH purchased, a sign of newfound caution. Even great fishermen sometimes know how to let go of the line when the waters become too electric.
