It was on February 15, the day after Valentine’s Day, that the epic journey of Sora, OpenAI’s general text-video AI, began. Its arrival promises to shake up the world of cinema by generating videos of striking realism from simple texts. But that’s not all: this revolution did not fail to impact Worldcoin’s WLD cryptocurrency (140% increase), a project supported by Sam Altman.
Shockwaves are also being felt in the world of AI-related cryptocurrencies, as evidenced by a recent article from The Block. This crypto media outlet reported a significant increase in tokens associated with artificial intelligence over the past 24 hours. Among the most notable increases, we find the native tokens of Worldcoin and SingularityNET, namely WLD and AGIX. While the first recorded an impressive rise of 28%, reaching $7.51, the second was not left out with an increase of more than 11%, propelling it to 0.52%.
But that’s not all ! CNN also noted the remarkable performance of other AI-related cryptocurrencies. FET from Fetch.AI saw a 30% rise, as did OCEAN from Ocean Protocol, TAO from Bittensor and AI from Sleepless AI.
Furthermore, according to a report from Crypto Potato, the SORA crypto, without any link to the OpenAI generative AI project, also made a trader happy last weekend. He, having invested only 0.049 ETH ($137) at the time, made a phenomenal profit of $176,000, a gain multiplied by 1,280, in record time.
Another notable aspect of this case concerns the market capitalization of AI-related cryptocurrencies. According to CoinGecko data, the market saw an 8% increase, reaching $15 billion on exchanges last Sunday.
