Santander Bank educates its investors on Bitcoin

Over the days, bitcoin (BTC) is gaining popularity and regaining a place of choice in the financial market. This trend is partly explained by the growing demand for Bitcoin ETFs, notably initiated by BlackRock, which has attracted the attention of large corporations and banks.

In Germany, for example, Deutsche WertpapierService Bank AG (dwpbank) recently announced the launch of its platform called wpNex. This innovative infrastructure combines blockchain technology and financial expertise, could offer the country’s 1,200 commercial banks the possibility of offering bitcoin transactions to their customers.

Moreover, Santander Bank, the Spanish banking giant, which was initially very skeptical of cryptocurrencies in 2022, has radically changed its position. Currently, the bank even has spear an education program dedicated to Bitcoin in order to better inform its customers.

On June 9, Santander Bank announced through its Twitter account the launch of an educational series entitled ” Digital Assets 101on its website. This series aims to present the fundamentals, benefits and implications of this revolutionary technology.

The first lesson, titled ” Everything you need to know about Bitcoin“, was introduced 14 days ago now. Additionally, the bank also shared another talk about the Lightning Network Protocol, a second-layer Bitcoin solution, highlighting its pros and cons.

Santander Bank’s turnaround comes just as major financial institutions are rushing into cryptocurrencies. Indeed, behemoths such as BlackRock, Valkyrie, Invesco, ETF Global and WisdomTree, have recently bowed to get Bitcoin ETFs. It is clear that this trend marks a positive evolution in the perception of Bitcoin in the traditional financial sector.
